The Queen concerned about Prince Philip’s deteriorating health

Queen Elizabeth is concerned about Prince Philip’s health as she nears her milestone reign.

Prince Philip’s health is now a serious cause of concern for the Queen, the royal family and all the royal fans.

Queen Elizabeth is currently the fifth-longest standing monarch in the world. Her husband, Prince Philip, will be 99 years on 10th June 2020. He spends most of his time, post-retirement, in Norfolk on the Queen’s Sandringham estate.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Philip, stepped down from the royal duties a couple of years ago. Many royal experts fear he won’t be around for the entirety of Queen Elizabeth’s II’s reign.  Royal expert Angela Mollard said: “She has now taken out fifth place so she recently usurped the 19th-century emperor of Austria Franz Joseph.

Prince Philip has been unwell of late and was hospitalized in London just before Christmas for observation and treatment closely related to a previous condition. Prince Charles, at that time, said his dad was being “taken care of quite well”. On a lighter note he further joked that “When you get to that age, things don’t work so well!”

Angela Mollard further added

“Franz Joseph has the stint for being on the throne for 67 years and 356 days and the Queen has now gone past that but she’s still only number five. “She’s got to get to 72 years and 110 days to eclipse Louis XV of France who reigned from 1643 to 1715 which is a very long long time. She’s got to do another five years”.

Let us all hope. Fingers crossed. She will be 94 this year, wouldn’t you just love her to get to be 100? Or even more?

We all would, personally, love her to be the longest-reigning monarch of all time. I think she deserves it. After what all she’s been through, what she still has to manage.” It will be very interesting to see if Prince Philip is there. It’s pushing it a bit to think he will still be here. Five long years, but who knows?

It is also feared Prince Philip won’t attend Princess Beatrice’s wedding on May 29, 2020. He rarely attends royal occasions but in recent years made a special effort for royal weddings. The last royal event Prince Philip made it to was Lady Gabriella Windsor’s wedding at St George’s Chapel last May.

Princess Beatrice, 31, will tie the knot with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi at the Chapel Royal in St James’s Palace on May 29 and many expect her grandfather Prince Philip to be there.
