Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepped down from the role of the senior member in January 2020.
Since becoming a member of the world’s most famous royal family the life as a royal for Meghan Markle has been far from smooth sailing. It has been mostly because of various tabloids who have always criticized Meghan Markle. But we, unlike others, are here to talk about how the couple have modernised the British royal family.

- Not giving birth in the Lindo Wing

- Ditching a royal title for her son
On 6th May 2019, baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor was born — but unlike his cousins, the baby has no royal title. Prince Harry carrying a royal title does not give you a full sense of freedom and independence, fair point. Royal history and blogger Marlene Koenig told that while Meghan and Harry didn’t require Queen Elizabeth’s permission to go with a name like Archie, she may have preferred her great-grandchild to have a title.
- Revamping her engagement ring
Meghan Markle came under the spotlight once again when she was spotted with her three-stone engagement ring redesigned. Town & Country reported her ring may have been reset in time for her first public appearance following the arrival of Archie. The ring featured a thin micro-pave band, as opposed to the original solid yellow gold version.
While some were outraged that Markle could have redesigned the engagement ring Prince Harry created for her, it is believed Harry designed the new eternity band for their one-year anniversary.
