How Prince Philip made Queen Elizabeth smile on his first public outing since the surgery?

Prince Philip

Recently, the Duke of Edinburgh made his first public appearance since his planned hip replacement operations. He was seen in the car outside the Windsor Castle.

Prince Philip peeped outside the car window to gift her wife with a smile.

Prince Philip attended the third day of the Royal Windsor Horse Show on Friday. During his visit, he was spotted sitting in the car and speaking to Queen Elizabeth.

After exchanging a few words with the Queen …

The loving Prince, who appears to be wearing a white collared shirt, managed to make love of his life smile. The reports say, the Duke of Edinburgh looked cheerful and chatty. He was apparently confirming the positive words shared by Buckingham Palace on his recovery.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show is a five-day event. It is hosted in the private grounds of Windsor Castle and is said to be one of Queen Elizabeth’s favourite equestrian events of the year.

Prince Philip has missed a lot in these few days.

He retired from royal duties last year and was last seen on April 13. That was the time when he left the hospital waving to the cheering crowd from the car.

Prince Philip has missed a series of events in these recent weeks. That includes Easter Sunday Mass and the birth of Prince William and Kate’s third born.

Last month he was also due to attend an event at Windsor Castle. It was to mark his son, Andrew’s new role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

However, he was unable to attend the event. Why?

Well, that’s because he was feeling under the weather, sparking fears his recovery wasn’t going as well as hoped. But, a courtier rushed to reassure the public.

The courtier told the public: “The Duke of Edinburgh has an issue with his hip which is affecting his mobility. There’s no cause for alarm but frankly he’s a proud man and doesn’t want to appear crocked in public. Prince Philip is not called the Iron Duke for nothing”.

However, it is still unclear whether Prince Philip will be able to attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Royal Wedding on May 19. But, let’s hope for the best and wish that we all do get to see Prince Philip with his family.
