In a recent interview, Thomas Markle said that he very much believes that his daughter is struggling to cope with the switch from a successful Hollywood actress to prim public duties.
According to the reports, Thomas said:-
“My thing about my daughter now is that I think she is pretty terrified. I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile. As a father, I’ve seen her smile for years. And, I know her smile, I don’t like the one I’m seeing now”.

“This present one isn’t even a stage smile. It’s a smile full of struggles and pain. That might be just having a couple of bad days. I don’t know. It really worries me. I think my daughter is under too much pressure”.
Thomas Markle criticises his daughter’s ridiculous dress code as she toured Ireland with her husband, Harry last week.
He said: “There’s a high price to pay to be married in that family. Meghan seems like something out of an old movie. Why on earth in 2018 are we dressing like the 1930’s? Why do they have to cover their knees”?
Thomas Markle also said that the British royals were freezing him out of his daughter’s life. Why? That’s because his staged paparazzi pictures and controversial interview with Good Morning Britain.
Thomas then added: “I really think Meghan is in deeper than I am. I’m not blaming Harry or anyone in the family, but they are following rules that don’t make any sense to me”.
“They are no less human than anybody else. God knows, I actually feel sorry for them, for not being able to show emotion. The reason I am being shunned is because I made a profit on the staged pictures”.
Adding more to his story he said:-
“Anyone who makes a profit off the royal family becomes shunned. So, if I ever moved to London and started selling cups with my daughter’s face on, would they shun me? They are living by rules that are outdated”.
“I have already apologised to them. Also, if the Queen took the time to think that she would not see me because I did some stupid photographs, that is ridiculous”.

Thomas also criticised the royals for not gathering around Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, at the royal wedding.
“I wasn’t shocked because Harry and Meghan have friends who are stars. But, it would have been nice if some of her old friends and wider family were there. I thought it was wrong to have Doria seated by herself”.
“I don’t think there was any reason she couldn’t have been with the British royals”.
