Meghan Markle turned 39 on 4 August 2020 and she shares her birthday with a very prominent and honourable royal.

Meghan Markle shares the same birthday date with the Queen Mother, who would have turned 120 today.

The Queen mother was very special and very close to Prince Harry. The Queen Mother, who was King George VI’s wife, was born on 4 August 1900 in Hitchin. In honour of the late and the most honourable Royal, The Royal Family paid a tribute to Queen Mother. The Buckingham Palace even shared some photos of The Queen Mother. One was which showed her with her two daughters, the Queen and Princess Margaret. While another was taken on the 25th wedding anniversary of The Queen Mother and her husband King George VI.

Queen Elizabeth solemnly celebrated what would have been her mother’s 120h birthday. Britain was struck with an outpouring of grief when she passed away in 2002 at the elderly age of 101. But her birthday also gave a chance to the royal family to fondly remember the Queen Mother’s life.

Queen Elizabeth’s mother died peacefully in her sleep at home at the Royal Lodge in Windsor. The Queen Mother was indeed the first member of the British Royal Family to reach her 100th birthday in 2000.

Well, let us not forget that Meghan Markle is also celebrating her 39th birthday today. It is also Meghan Markle’s first birthday since the couple decided to step down from the Royal Family in January 2020.

Last year Prince Harry posted a photograph on the now-inactive Sussex Royal Instagram account. The caption was: “Wishing HRH The Duchess of Sussex a very Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday to my amazing wife”.

It is said that the duke and duchess of Sussex will probably not be releasing any special messages today. However, Duchess Meghan previously issued a heartfelt message about how she always asks for the same thing on her birthday. Duchess Meghan uses each new milestone to reflect on her life and set goals for her future.

“My mother has always said that birthdays are your own personal New Year,” Meghan wrote in 2016 on her lifestyle website The Tig. “Your own opportunity to make resolutions just for yourself and what you prognosticate for your year ahead.”

So what does Meghan Markle wish for every year? “More surprises, more adventure, more opportunities to grow, more days filled with giggles and cheeky jokes, more delicious meals, and more inspiration. Always more inspiration,” Meghan Markle revealed.
