Kate Middleton is teaching Princess Eugenie how to balance motherhood & royal duties

Princess Eugenie, for now, wants to focus solely on raising her son and Kate Middleton actually is helping her.

With three kids and an experience of seven years under her belt, the Duchess of Cambridge is definitely a seasoned pro at balancing it all.

There are few people who can explain what it’s really like to raise a family within the confines of royal life. So it’s not unusual that now that Princess Eugenie has become a mother — she and husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed son August in February — she has turned to cousin-in-law Kate Middleton for guidance and support.

A source told OK! that Princess Eugenie is enjoying being a mom but she already seems conflicted about having to be away from her son to carry out her royal duties. Princess Eugenie has supposedly reached out to Kate for advice. She’s influenced by how Kate is able to balance her official duties while raising three kids (George, 7, Charlotte, 5, and Louis, 2)

Now that two senior members of the royal family have called it quits, there is speculation that Queen Elizabeth might ask Eugenie to step up. Royal expert Robert Lacey told Hello that Eugenie and her older sister, Beatrice, are suitable candidates to take on more royal duties to fill the gap left by Prince Harry and Meghan. I’m sure they will step forward and be warmly welcomed”. “It’s what the family requires, as it’s another 15 years before Prince George’s generation steps up” Lacey added.

Eugenie also has her career to consider.

She has worked for the London art gallery Hauser & Wirth since 2015 and serves as its director. Now she’s a mother and may be asked to undertake more official engagements for the Queen. This will she make the difficult decision to step away from the job she loves? Or can she figure out a way to have it all?

As she works out how to find a balance between her new role as a mom and her position as a royal, Eugenie is reportedly determined that her son has a normal upbringing. According to a report from Vanity Fair, she doesn’t want August to have a title so he can live a more “ordinary life.”

Although Kate’s situation is very much different — she is raising a future heir to the throne, after all — she is obviously doing as much as she can to shelter her kids from the spotlight and give them as normal of a childhood as possible. So she’s no doubt an ideal confidante and role model for Eugenie as she settles into motherhood. And there’s nothing better than moms supporting moms!
