Kate Middleton has traits that Meghan Markle lacks and the Queen is a firm admirer, a royal expert has claimed.
Both, Duchess Kate and Meghan Markle, are different but the Queen is a big fan of Catherine.
Royal commentators constantly compare the two women but royal reporter Ashley Pearson can confirm the claim that Queen Elizabeth sees qualities in Duchess Catherine that cannot be seen in Meghan Markle.
In 2016 Amazon Prime documentary William & Kate: The Journey, she explains the reasons why the Queen is “very fond” of Kate. “She likes her typical middle-class values,” says Pearson. She adds: “She also likes the fact that she’s close to her family.

“Kate has hardly ever tried to garner extra attention for herself. There’s nothing flashy or showy.”

The observation sets the Duchess of Cambridge apart from Meghan Markle – who remains distant with her father and step-sister. But Meghan Markle is more daring with her fashion sense and, unlike Kate, thrives in the limelight as a former actress.
What is more, Ms Pearson alleges that the Queen wanted to see Kate’s personality traits in her son’s wives, Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson. She further adds: “Kate tows the company line all the time, and that’s something that Queen Elizabeth very much wanted from Diana – which didn’t happen. “She wanted [it] from Sarah Ferguson – which didn’t happen.”

Further she also reveals that royal experts have indicated Catherine is a “special favourite” of the Queen’s because of the way she consistently supports the royal family.
Earlier in the documentary, it is suggested that the Queen praised the long courtship between William and Kate, so that the future Duchess could understand what it is like to be part of the royal family before her marriage.
