Princess of Wales, Diana, herself took a bad-ass move after finding out about Prince Charles’ affair.
Princess Diana of Wales and Prince Charles’ 15 years of royal marriage was filled with scandals, extramarital affairs.
The people’s princess actually decided to confront Camilla Parker-Bowles after finding out about Prince Charles’ affair with her. After the birth of Prince Harry in 1984, Diana experienced ‘some of the happiest years of her life as a wife and as a Royal mother of two kids. But unfortunately, it didn’t last too long.
In 1986, Prince Charles rekindled his pre-Diana romance with Camilla Parker Bowles. That was a relationship that first started back in the early ’70s. According to some candid interviews and conversations with friends: Diana never believed that Charles and Camilla had fully broken off their things.

She even alleged to have found photos of Camilla Parker in Prince Charles’s journal during their Royal honeymoon. After all this, Diana made the so-called famous statement of there being ‘the three of us’ in the marriage and mentioned that “It was a bit crowded”.

It was first published in 1992. Princess Diana recalled ‘one of the bravest moments of her not so happy marriage. It was indeed a calculated confrontation with Camilla Parker Bowles herself at a 40th birthday party for Camilla’s sister.
The year was 1989, and Princess of Wales, Diana decided that, after putting all the scattered pieces together and realizing that Charles and Camilla were carrying on an affair, she would turn up at that event unannounced. She decided to talk to Camilla face to face, once and for all.
Nobody in the world knew that Diana was going to show up. She wasn’t even invited, and in a truly bad-ass move, the Royal interrupted a conversation between Camilla, Charles, and another male guest to speak to Camilla. She looked ‘really uncomfortable and put her head down and then Diana continued: “OK, boys, I’m just going to have a quick word with Lady Camilla and I’ll be up in a minute”. The two men ‘shot upstairs like chickens with no heads. Princess Diana said, adding, “I could feel, upstairs, all hell breaking loose, What is she going to do”?

What Princess Diana did was exactly what she planned to do. Though she admitted and mentioned being ‘terrified’ of Camilla at first. She recalled staying ‘deathly calm’.
Diana said: “The voice inside me had said, ‘just go for it. I said, I know what’s going on between you and my husband and I just want you to know that”. Diana called Camilla’s reply ‘indeed interesting’.
The aftermath of Diana and Camilla’s standoff was indeed quick.
“She said to me, You’ve got everything you ever wanted. You’ve got all the men in the world to fall in love with you and you’ve got two very beautiful children. Now, what more do you want? To which I replied, I want my husband. I said to Camilla, I’m sorry I’m in the way and it must be hell for both of you. But I do know what’s going on. Don’t even think of treating me like an idiot”.
Diana said that after the party, Charles was over me like a bad rash. That night ‘I cried as I have never cried before. After my confrontation with Camilla, there was a ‘tremendous shift’ in their relationship.
According to the reports, in frustration, Diana began her own chain of extramarital affairs until she and Charles eventually separated. This Royal couple indeed managed to stay civil while co-parenting their sons until Princess Diana’s tragic death in August 1997.
