Prince Harry has met many famous faces over the years, including Friends star Courteney Cox. She was full of praise for the Duke of Sussex.

The Monica Geller actress opened up about her encounter with Prince Harry during a hike with Kevin Nealson, who posted their conversation on his YouTube channel.

Courteney said of the Prince: “I mean, Prince Harry is a really nice guy. I have met him, he’s nice and he’s funny, and he cares. I think he’s pretty great.” The Hollywood star also admitted that she wouldn’t be able to cope if she had to move countries and become part of the royal family like Meghan did. “There’s no way I could do that, no,” she said.

Speaking to comedian Kevin Nealon during a hike in Malibu, the Friends star shared her opinion on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping back from the royal family to begin a new life.

“I mean it is a big deal to kind of step down, but if you know you’re never gonna be king ― and you don’t have a shot at it ― why put up with all that stuff? Can’t you still do all the good work that you do and help people?” she reasoned.

Outfits aside, Cox also said she’d also have a problem maintaining a sense of decorum and hierarchy amongst her hypothetical in-laws. “I get too personal with people,” the star admitted. “There’s no way I can call somebody, you know, ‘your royal highness’ all the time. Yeah, I just wouldn’t want to.”

Harry and Meghan have been open about the difficulties they experienced from being in the public eye as a result of being a part of the royal family. The couple made the decision to step down as senior members of The royal family in January, and have since moved their young family to Los Angeles in the US.

The monarchy and the Sussexes initially agreed to a 12-month review after they step back, to ensure the arrangement works for all parties. But after one year they finally left the family. The couple is now represented through their UK foundation team.

While Cox didn’t elaborate on where and when she met the Prince, it’s not the first royal run-in a cast member of Friends has experienced. Back in 1998, Matt Le Blanc’s character Joey famously bumped into Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson, Duchess of York while sightseeing at Buckingham Palace, providing this glorious television moment:
