While most of Princess of Wales, Diana’s life has been displayed, there are certain things which never really got out in public.
Diana was an adoring and doting mother of two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry.
Much is known about Diana’s special connection with her boys. Although there’s one thing people may not know about Harry’s birth in particular. Prince Charles desperately wanted a little girl.
Diana knew that she was carrying a baby boy. And so, she kept the secret from her husband throughout her pregnancy. In September 1984, Diana gave birth to a baby boy, Prince Harry. In a candid interview, Diana revealed her husband’s dismay after welcoming their second child.

Later on, Charles discounted the comment as a joke. But, Diana was extremely hurt and offended. What’s worse, at Prince Harry’s christening, the Prince of Wales reportedly told Diana’s mother: “We were so disappointed. We thought it would be a girl”.
Diana then went on to explain: “I and Charles were the closest we’ve ever, ever been and ever will be in the weeks before Harry was born. Then, suddenly, as Harry was born, it just went bang, our marriage”.“The whole thing really went down the drain. Something inside me closed off. By then, I knew Charles had gone back to his lady”.
Harry’s red hair led many to believe that his biological father was actually James Hewitt. He was an English Army captain who was hired to teach Diana, William, and Harry horseback riding.
