In a recent interview, Zara Tindall opened up about the two miscarriages she suffered between the births of her 4-year-old daughter and her newborn baby.
It was a very difficult time for Her Majesty’s beloved granddaughter.
In her interview, she said: “I had a miscarriage in 2016 and afterwards loads of people wrote to me and Mike to say they’d been through the same thing”.
Well, in our case, it was something that was really rare. It felt as if nature was saying, ‘This one’s not right'”.
She says her family members, especially her brother Peter, were a source of strength.
“At the time, Pete was again very much the protective brother. He was really concerned about me, as was Mike. Everyone was”.
“It was a time when my family came to the fore and I needed them more than anything else. I had to go through having the baby because it was so far along”.
Mika and Zara Tindall’s spokesperson gave out a statement saying:-
“Very sadly, Zara and Mike Tindall have lost their baby. At this difficult time, we hope that everyone respects their privacy”.
Zara continued, saying: “For me, the worst part was that we had to tell everyone. Everyone knew everything”.
Perhaps, Zara Tindall kept her second miscarriage more private.
“I then had another miscarriage really early on. You need to go through a time where you don’t talk about it because it’s too raw but, as with everything, time’s a great healer”.
Zara’s elder brother, Peter Philips was also interviewed for the story. He said:-
“That rather annoying little sister is now a well-respected equestrian and an exceptional mother. If my daughters come any close to achieving what Zara’s achieved, I’d be more than happy”.
