THE ROYAL HOUSE OF WINDSOR continued last night in dramatic fashion as Prince Charles tried to avoid replicating Edward VIII’s romantic mistakes.
According to the report, it followed Lord Mountbatten as he acted as Charles’ kingmaker and matchmaker.
In a photo album filmed for the first time on television, the woman who turned down Prince Charles’ marriage proposal was revealed. The news reports said: “But one special album, never before filmed for television revealed Mountbatten’s choice for the future queen of England. His own granddaughter”.
Lord Mountbatten’s granddaughter, Amanda Knatchbull was the perfect candidate and was the right age. The two of them got on really well. “Amanda was Prince Charles’ cousin”. It was also said that, Lord Mountbatten was secretly lining Amanda up as a future queen,” that too for years.

One of the royal insider admitted: “He was maneuvering the Prince away from Camilla, saying “If you carry on with her, you’re going to end up like David. People will start hating you and your reputation will just disappear. So why don’t you give her up and go for my granddaughter”?. “They’d been together a lot, and their relationship was too close. They were like brother and sister,” added another Royal source.
THE PROPOSAL TIME.
In the summer of 1979, Prince Charles and Amanda were due to holiday together, the reports explained. “Amanda gets on the Royal Yacht Britannia and they sail off to the Western Isles. During that period Prince Charles turns to her and says, ‘Will you be my wife?’ and the reply she gives is a no”.
Prince Charles had tried to do his duty lawfully and follow the suggestions and advice of his Royal mentor. It seemed the crisis over his future could’t get any worse.
