The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate threw a huge party a few days back. However, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were nowhere to be seen.
And now, we know exactly why?
It has been a big year for Kate Middleton. Not only did she give birth to her third child, but she has had to contend with a veritable tsunami of publicity pitting her against her new sister-in-law, Meghan. So, when it came time for Kate to celebrate her 37th birthday, it is only fair that she knocked back some champers or a huge glass of wine.
The celebration was held at Anmer Hall.
On the guest list were a raft of longtime the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate’s mates. All of whom are godparents to their tiny, photogenic kids. Lady Laura Meade and her husband James were there. There was a school friend, turned interior designer Emilia Jardine Patterson.
Some recent reports also suggest that the group enjoyed lunch. However, curiously not there scoffing Yorkshire puddings were the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan.

Much has been made of the fact that the royal couple was a no-show at the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate’s party. With this, people speculated that the reason of them not being their was the on-going feud between them.
Their absence was taken as PROOF of the lingering chilly relations between the brothers and their wives.

However, that’s really not the case here. It turns out that the soon-to-be royal parents, Meghan and Harry weren’t at Kate’s birthday party because they were out of the country on a secret holiday. According to Hello, Harry and Meghan ditched Britain’s frosty winter for an international jaunt.
Their actual destination is not known. However, this time last year, the royal couple was reported to have flown to Norway for a luxe getaway. At least, both Meghan and Kate should have a fairly relaxed start for 2019. No official engagements are announced for either Duchesses for the next two months.
