Queen Elizabeth reported to police for not obeying the rules.

Queen

A sharp-eyed observer noticed that Queen Elizabeth, riding in a car was not wearing a seat belt.

That call was taken by the West Yorkshire Police Customer Contact Center. According to the reports, the tape of the call has not been released yet. That phone call was registered by the West Yorkshire Police.

It wrote in a tweet that, ‘a 999 call was received reporting that the Queen isn’t wearing a seat belt. #not999 #notevenwestyorkshire’.

It also added, “Ringing 999 without a genuine emergency could have serious consequences for someone who does and as a result of your call can’t get through”.

UNITED KINGDOM’S POLICE SAYS.

Tom Donohoe, told The Royal UK that, 999 calls were made for non emergencies. “I cannot stress enough that the 999 number is for emergencies only,” he said.

A statement on Monarchy’s website noted that, Queen Elizabeth ‘is careful to ensure that all her activities in her personal capacity are carried out in strict accordance with the law’.

As for the law regarding seat belts, the government website says: “You must wear a seat belt if one is fitted in the seat you are using”.

Elizabeth with Prince Charles

Queen Elizabeth traveled to Westminster with Prince Charles to start the Parliamentary year. In United Kingdom, it is mandatory to wear a seat belt. The Queen of England is left free from all the civil and criminal proceedings.

In United Kingdom, a common man can be fined £500 for not wearing a seat belt. Seems like it is important to make sure to always wear a seat belt while sitting in a car.
