We all know about the recent Spain terror attacks. On this sad occasion, Queen Elizabeth offered her heartiest condolences to the King of Spain in the wake of two deadly terror attacks that unfolded a few days before.
As many as 14 civilians and five suspects lost their lives, and more than 100 people were injured.
Buckingham Palace, which is the official London residence of Queen Elizabeth, shared her message on Saturday. The Queen expressed condolences on behalf of herself and The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip to King Felipe VI and Spanish citizens.
The letter said:
“Prince Philip and I send our sincere condolences to Your Majesty, and the people of Spain, following the terrible terrorist attacks in Barcelona and Cambrils which killed and seriously injured many”.

Queen Elizabeth also added:
It is deeply upsetting when innocent people are put at risk in this way when going about their daily lives.
Our thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost loved ones and the people who are recovering in hospital. Please convey our heartfelt sympathies to all who have been affected by these appalling incidents.

The British office said:
“We are currently assisting and helping a small number of British people affected. We are also working to find out if any more people need our help”. They assured that additional staff had been deployed to help the authorities in Spain where the attacks have taken place.
The Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, Mark Rowley said in a statement that the British authorities were “liaising closely with the Spanish authorities and also wait for further updates regarding the nationalities of the deceased and injured”.
