Prince Charles and Princess of Wales, Diana’s marriage turmoil are to be laid bare in a new documentary. Queen Elizabeth told Diana, Prince Charles “is hopeless” when Diana reportedly approached her for advice on their drowning marriage.
Apparently, Diana confronted Prince Charles about why Camilla Parker was a part of his life. Princess Diana said he replied: “Well, I refuse to be the only Prince of Wales who never had a mistress”.
A video recording was aired in one of the United States documentary 13 years ago but never screened in United Kingdom. A relaxed and candid Diana said: “My father-in-law said to my husband ‘if your marriage doesn’t work out, you can always go back to her after five years”.
“Which is exactly – I mean, for real I knew that it had happened after five years. I knew something was happening before that but the fifth year I had the confirmation”.

Princess Diana also described how she approached Queen Elizabeth as she called her for some advice. In the footage it was observed that she still appeared visibly dissatisfied with the response as she told the story to the people.
Princess Diana also said:
“I knew something was already happening. So I went to the top lady, sobbing, and I said ‘what do I do? I’m coming to you, what do I do? Then the top lady said “I don’t know what you should do. Charles is hopeless”.
“And that was it, and that was help”.
The Princess of Wales hired Peter Settelen between 1992 and 1993 to help with her public speaking voice. This following her collaboration with author, Andrew Morton on a biography. It was ahead of her major Panorama interview in 1995.

The footage, captured at her private residence in Kensington Palace, shows late Princess Diana rehearsing her speaking voice. But when discussing her personal life she sat on a sofa, wearing a blouse, blazer and trousers.
