Queen Elizabeth supported the Sussexes with a sentimental snowflake brooch in a subtle manner.
Queen Elizabeth’s jewellery is an ode to Harry and Meghan’s new part-time residence of Canada.
The world is still not over from the news of Harry and Meghan’s decision to step down as senior royals. But, the queen is fully supporting the couple and wishes them luck for their future.
According to E! News, during the monarch’s morning service at Sandringham, she donned a snowflake-shaped brooch. The brooch, as many indicated, was the Queen’s support for the couple. Queen Elizabeth wore the piece pinned to a bright blue overcoat, with a matching hat. She was also wearing black gloves, and leather loafers, along with it she was also seen carrying a patent-leather handbag.
The specific piece of ornament was gifted to Queen Elizabeth in 2017. It was given to her by former Canadian Governor-General, David Johnston. Her decision to wear the brooch after the Megxit saga is interpreted as a subtle sentiment of support toward her grandson, his family, and their new residence abroad.
“I completely understand the challenges they have experienced. As a result of intense scrutiny over the last two years, they have decided to go for a more independent life”. The Queen further added, “It is my whole family’s hope that today’s agreement allows them to start building a happy and peaceful new life”.
