The new baby is the sixth great-grandchild of Queen Elizabeth. Though he has just arrived into the family, but he is already very much close to his great-grandmother.
Her Majesty is indeed happy about her new great-grandchild.

Queen Elizabeth has shared how she feels and her excitement on social media. A statement released via Kensington Palace, stated that the reigning monarch is “delighted” about her new great-grandchild.
Well, Her Majesty was not the only one to share her feelings.
Other members of the royal family also shared their enthusiasm for Prince William and Kate Middleton’s newborn.
“The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families have been informed and are delighted with the news”.
According to some reports, the little prince is in good health, and so is his mother, the Duchess of Cambridge. The baby was born at 11:01 and weighs 8lbs 7oz.
The statement released by Kensington Place on the day the baby was born:-
“Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. Prince William was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well”.
The new Prince is Queen Elizabeth’s sixth great-grandchild and is fifth in line to the British throne. He is just between his uncle, Prince Harry and his sister, Princess Charlotte.

After Prince George in July 2013 and Princess Charlotte’s birth in May 2015, Her Majesty and the Duke of Edinburgh, Philip tweeted out their congratulations via Twitter saying:-
“Her Majesty The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both the families have been informed of the birth and are excited with the news”.
