The 91-year-old reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth has apparently told her inner circle people to hang up her Royal crown at the age of 95. Well, now the even the wheels are to be seen in motion for a transition.
Queen Elizabeth is preparing to abdicate her Royal throne and make Prince Charles the King. The Clarence House has not yet given any comment about ‘Plan Regency’. This also involves a piece of legislation called the “Regency Act” coming into force.
This one particular act will give Queen Elizabeth’s eldest son, Prince Charles full power to reign even while Queen is alive.
“There are confirmations from a number of high-ranking courtiers who made it clear that preparations for a transition are moving ahead at pace. They all have confirmed that a Regency with Prince Charles is now taking the lead”.
One senior former member of the Royal Household said:
“Out of the profound respect, Queen Elizabeth holds for the institution of monarchy and its stewardship. Her Majesty would always want to make sure that she has done everything she can for her country and for her people before she hands over. She is indeed dutiful to her core. Being mindful at this stage is difficult but Her Majesty is mindful. She wants to make sure when the time comes, the transition of the Royal Crown is seamless.
