Why Prince William doesn’t wear his Wedding Ring?

When Prince William proposed Kate Middleton in 2010, he gave her a stunning 12-carat oval blue Ceylon sapphire Royal ring. That blue Royal sapphire ring was of his late mother, Princess Diana.

She wore that ring during her marriage to Prince of Wales, Charles.

It was also reported that when the Royal couple, Prince William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in London in 2011, Kate added a gold band which sits perfectly next to her sparkler.

But then despite The Duchess of Cambridge’s new Royal jewelry, there was no exchanging of the Royal rings. As Prince William never got one.

Wearing a big ring on his finger is just not the style of Prince William. In fact, before the Royal couple’s big day, the palace released a statement about his decision to ditch tradition and go ringless.

“It is indeed and simply down to personal preference. It was something they both discussed but Prince William isn’t one for jewelry”.

When we carefully look at the Royal Wedding pictures of Prince William and Kate Middleton, we can easily notice that William didn’t even put a ring during or on the day of his wedding. Kate Middleton was the only one who got a wedding band on her finger that day.

Well, Prince William isn’t the only one.

Queen Elizabeth’s beloved husband, Prince Philip doesn’t wear one either. Also, a photo timeline of their Royal Marriage shows that he hasn’t for many years now.

Wedding bands are not the actual predictors of marital success in British Royal Family.
