Prince Philip has finally left his house, and was seen out in the public eye on Sunday. He joined his wife Queen Elizabeth for church in Scotland.
The Duke of Edinburgh was seen seated beside the Queen in the royal Bentley.
The 97-year-old arrived in Scotland after Her Majesty moved into the Balmoral castle on August 6, 2018. The Queen had initially spent some time in relative peace and seclusion at Craigowan Lodge.
Queen Elizabeth was waiting for the Balmoral castle to be prepared for her long stay after it was closed to the tourists. Prince Philip is said to have been fishing, among other things, while on the estate in the Scottish highlands.
The Duke of Edinburgh had been missing for quite some time now.

Prince Philip had bowed out of royal duties last year. He had not been seen in public since he joined Queen Elizabeth at a couple of polo games in the early summer.
In the month of April, he underwent a hip replacement operation. Just six weeks later, though, Prince Philip seemed on the mend when he was photographed walking into Windsor Castle’s St. George’s Chapel for Harry‘s wedding to Meghan.
Many other royal family members were present over the weekend with the Queen.
Also at the Balmoral estate over the weekend were the Queen’s granddaughter and mother of two, Zara Tindall and her husband Mike Tindall.
Prince Charles and Camilla, who generally stay at the manor house Birkhall and Prince Edward with his wife Sophie Wessex were seen at the estate as well. Last week, Princess Beatrice was among the visitors too.

It’s not known if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been to the big castle yet. The couple reportedly spent some time earlier this month with Charles and Camilla at the Castle of Mey. It is the remote home that once belonged to Charles’ late grandmother, the Queen Mother.
