Queen Elizabeth formally proclaimed that Prince Harry was stripped of his titles last month (February).
As a royal fan, what do you think could be the reason why Prince Harry lost all his titles?
It seems royal fans are quite upset that Prince Harry lost his titles while scandal-plagued Prince Andrew still has his, though their situations are completely different. Now that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have chosen to permanently step away from royal life, it was only a matter of time before these final honours were stripped from them.
But considering the fact that Prince Andrew also stepped down not too long ago — albeit because of his involvement with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein — and managed to keep his titles, people are feeling like this is a bit hypocritical of Elizabeth.
Royal experts on a podcast pointed out that plenty of non-working royals have kept their titles.

“Other non-working royals still have their honorary and military titles so that makes this feel like a peculiar decision,” said Rachel Bowie, one of the hosts of Royally Obsessed, according to Express. “Prince Michael of Kent does, and so does Andrew. He still has his honorary titles and patronages. It’s unbelievable — I just don’t understand”. When put that way, it obviously does sound a little unfair.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as a couple, of course, have a lot of influence. And let’s not forget their huge fan base. Are the royals missing out on something big by not finding some way to work with them while still letting them live their lives with more freedom? “The Sussexes just bring so much to the royal family,” co-host Roberta Fiorito said. “I think if there was an arrangement to be made, it would really bolster the Firm and the monarchy.”
It doesn’t seem like the Queen will go back on her decision, though.
She’s made her stance on the Harry and Meghan situation clear — not to mention the fact that the couple fired back with a statement of their own, confirming that they don’t need royal support to continue living lives of service. What’s done is done at this point, but maybe the backlash will encourage her to take away Andrew’s titles, too.

Now that Meghan and Harry have made their future plans as clear as they could, the remaining members of the family can feel free to move forward however they choose to — and hopefully, that will include mending the bridges that have been burned in their family. We all just want to see the Cambridges and the Sussexes together again, don’t we?
