Yesterday, a report from The Sun circulated that because of Meghan’s lower rank in the royal family, the Queen had apparently banned her from borrowing certain jewels.
Those jewels belonged to the Royal Collection that had been made famous by the late Princess of Wales, Diana. However, now there are some things that have come forward.
Express made it clear today that the story is false. Also, Prince Harry and Buckingham Palace aren’t happy at all about the untrue, smeary rumour being published. A source told the outlet: “There is anger that these claims circulating are simply not true. They are rightly incensed”.
A second royal insider also explained about the situation.
He first of all said, Meghan has been lent jewellery by Queen Elizabeth before from her Royal Collection. “It is worth noting that Her Majesty lent Meghan a tiara for the wedding. She gave her earrings for her first royal engagement, and had just agreed to partly fund her new household’.
The source also pointed out that the mother-to-be is pretty new to the family. She hasn’t had a rare tiara occasion to go to, where she would need to borrow from the Queen’s collection. He said: “The jewellery in question is only usually worn at extremely special functions or state occasions”.

“And there simply haven’t been many of those. Not many since Meghan Markle became a member of the British royal family”. The Sun‘s royal source was in part fueling the false Meghan Markle-is-a-diva narrative. And some tabloids have been creating it, claiming the Queen was not impressed with some of her demands.
As a result, Buckingham Palace took a firm decision.
The Palace has decided that not all items from Queen Elizabeth’s royal collection will be opened up to Meghan. As part of that situation, Her Majesty informed Prince William that the items from the Royal Collection worn by Diana would not immediately be made available to Meghan.
Queen Elizabeth likes Meghan personally. She is showing that maintaining the correct order and precedence within the family is quite important. Even if the Duchess of Sussex is the most popular woman in the world, she is of a lower rank than Kate.
In reality, that characterisation of Meghan is completely off. As a royal source close to the Sussexe’s previously told The Royal UK.com, stories about Meghan being difficult are absolutely untrue. She’s actually well-liked by her staff.
