Her Majesty drove a first-aid truck in the Women’s Auxillary Territorial Service during the Second World War. In the picture, the Queen is seen leaning out of the side of an Army jeep.

Looking at this picture, royal fans noticed that she bears a striking resemblance to her great-granddaughter, Princess Charlotte. One Royal fan wrote on social media: “Can really see the resemblance in Princess Charlotte with this picture”.
Another fan added: “Prince William really resembles her. She was the winner of the DNA pass along”.
Queen Elizabeth had to learn and work just like other commoners.
The Queen learned to drive during World War II when she operated as a first-aid truck for the Women’s Auxillary Territorial Service.

It was in the year 1945, that she became the first female member of the royal family to join the Armed Services as a full-time active member. She then served as an Honourary Brigadier from 1949 to her coronation in the year 1953.
