Prince William has gone to this royal tour of the Middle East without the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate. Why? That’s because, she is on maternity leave. But, she wasn’t far from his mind when he went to archaeological site of Jerash.

Wondering what we are really trying to say?

We earlier stated, that not everyone gets to relive their childhood memories the way Kate got to. Well, on his visit to Jerash, Prince William took a picture in the same place, his wife, Kate did when she was just four years old.

The Palace released this picture of modern-day William along one of vintage, Kate and her sister Pippa Middleton. It’s been thirty-three years. And, the Roman remains of the first-century city are just as amazing.

Well, the Duchess of Cambridge actually wanted to be there.

According to some reports, Prince William said: “Catherine wished she would’ve been here. That’s because she herself lived in Jordan for three years with her family. She is indeed sorry she cannot be here with me so soon after the birth of our son, Louis”.

“Though, all I know is that her family remembers very fondly the almost three years she spent here as a child when her father worked for British Airways in Amman”.

“Catherine’s experience is not unique. The interchange between our two countries is real and deep: work, study, tourism and family links. I am pretty sure, that once Catherine will get a chance to visit this place, she would not give it a second thought”.
