Meghan Markle must respect royal staff and stop ‘trying to be clever’ says the Queen

Her Majesty’s former aide has warned Meghan Markle that she needs to respect royal staff. Also, that she should stop “trying to be clever within the family”.

Royal expert, Dickie Arbiter said that the Duchess of Sussex should be aware she is just a “supporting player”. And, that there is only “one star in the monarchy”: The Queen.

Speaking to Nine News Australia, Dickie said: “What Duchess Meghan has got to do is, forget she is on the red carpet of show business. She is now on the crimson carpet of the British monarchy”. Dickie said that Meghan needs to realise her pecking order in the family and that she’s even below her husband Prince Harry.

Dickie added, saying:-

“Meghan plays a supporting role, not just to Harry but to Her Majesty as well. The officials there, are probably one or two or maybe three or four who might not like the way Meghan operates. She indeed has to think about how she is going to operate. And the way she is going to operate is to listen to the officials”.

There have been a number of reports about how the Duchess of Sussex is said to have a demanding personality and rigorous work ethic. Pregnant Meghan is said to have an unrelenting schedule. She has been reportedly bombarding her staff at dawn with various demands from as early as 5 AM.

A royal insider said:-

“Duchess Meghan can be difficult. She has very high standards and is used to working in a Hollywood environment. However, there’s a different degree of respect in the royal household. And Duchess Kate has always been very careful about how she has acted around the staff”.

Meghan Markle has had a number of staff resignations since she joined the family. That also includes the royal couple’s private secretary, Samantha Cohen. She will be leaving as soon as the Baby Sussex arrives. It came as a shock to many when it was reported last year that Samantha, who has worked at the palace for 17 years, was to leave her role.

Well, she is not the only one.

Another high profile aide for Meghan, Melissa Toubati, sensationally resigned just six months after the royal wedding. The French assistant who played a “pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding” ditched her appointment after “putting up with a lot”.

And the royal bride’s right-hand woman, Amy Pickerill, who was appointed as her secretary last year, is set to leave her position. A source told The Royal UK: “It’s very sad for her colleagues. As she is a really popular member of the staff”.
