Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland was on top of the world, as she watched her daughter, Meghan Markle marry the love of her life.
Besides watching Meghan marry Harry, there was another moment that Doria will cherish forever.
After arriving in the United Kingdom, ahead of the wedding to meet her daughter’s future in-laws, Ragland met a number of members of the royal family. That most importantly included Queen Elizabeth.
One of our sources said: “Doria is saying that for her the biggest highlight of the wedding, of course after watching her daughter say ‘I do’ to the man she loves, was meeting Her Majesty. It would have been extremely intimidating for anyone”.

“But, Meghan and Harry really did a marvellous job of preparing her with what to expect. In fact, to make sure she felt as comfortable as possible ahead of the meeting Harry told Doria numerous stories about the Queen as a grandmother. He told her what she means to him”.

When Meghan’s mother did finally meet Queen Elizabeth, over tea at Windsor Castle, it clearly went well: According to some reports, Doria and Her Majesty even wore complementing shades of green on the day of the wedding.
Meghan’s mother was in a Wedgewood green wool dress by Oscar de la Renta and the Queen in a lime green dress by Stuart Parvin.
Not only this, but the 66-year-old yoga instructor, also appeared to form relationships with other members of the royal family. That included Prince Charles and Camilla, who walked Ragland out of the church after the ceremony arm-in-arm.

Apart from all of this? Meghan’s mother’s mother made viewers emotional on her own when she watched proudly from her seat in St George’s Chapel as her daughter said: ‘I do’. As she was the only member present at the wedding of Meghan’s family, it was a special week for Ragland. And full of moments she will remember forever.
