Americans don’t care about Meghan and would even be happy if her royal marriage to Prince Harry ended in divorce or scandal, it has been claimed.
Most Americans don’t really care about the Duchess of Sussex, according to AJ Benza, a former showbiz reporter from the US.
Speaking to OK! Online, Mr Benza said: “I don’t think many Americans actually care. I couldn’t care less about that royal family stuff. I’m happy for her. But I’d be lying if I said nobody would be happy if their union ended in divorce or some type of scandal”.
“That’s what Americans like, actually. We love to build up a person and help them to land on this wonderful, golden perch of fame. And then we all point and laugh when they teeter off that ledge”.
Meghan and Harry are rumoured to be visiting the US and Canada on a royal overseas tour this year.
It comes after their hugely successful Commonwealth tour in 2018. As we saw them visit Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga over 16 days. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry married in May 2018, following a whirlwind two-year romance.
