Meghan Markle is due to give birth any day now. And due to the strong likelihood of a home birth, Ladbrokes have suspended betting on where the birth will take place.
Ladbrokes have announced they have suspended betting on where Meghan will give birth. With punters seemingly confident the royal baby will be born at Meghan and Harry’s home.
The bookies have now pulled the plug. All other bets on the royal baby, including the due date, name and gender will remain the same. Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We know the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are keeping things private. But, we’re confident Meghan will give birth at home and have suspending betting as a result”.
Speculation of when the Duchess will give birth remained high yesterday.
It was after an ambulance was spotted near Frogmore Cottage. However, it was a false alarm with South Central Ambulance Service confirming the ambulance sighted was a driver training vehicle. The royal baby’s arrival is still said to be imminent. Ladbrokes is slashing the odds on Meghan giving birth this weekend to just 7/2.

Having been asked if there was “any sign of the royal baby”? William responded: “I haven’t got my phone on me. I literally have no idea. You guys will find out before I do at this rate”.
The parents-to-be are expected to cover most of the costs of the baby by themselves. But taxpayers will pay for security costs during public appearances. It is something they already do. The pair are both thought to have huge savings of their own through Meghan’s career as an actress and Harry’s inheritance from his late mother, Princess Diana.
