Although it has just been two weeks since the royal engagement announcement, it hasn’t stopped us from imagining every detail of their big day.
Each and every fan is keeping their fingers crossed for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding to be televised. The Royal UK has been asked questions about whether Meghan’s father will walk his daughter down the aisle. Well, according to the tradition he should.
Meghan’s father, Thomas Markle who is currently living in Mexico has told reporters that he would love to do the honour.
“Yes. I’d love to and will surely walk my lovely daughter down the aisle. I am indeed pleased and delighted with their engagement. But then I respected the couple’s privacy by refusing to say anything else on this matter”.
On the day of the announcement, he and Doria released a joint statement in response to the news.
“We are incredibly happy for our daughter and Harry. She has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same personality, is a great source of joy for us as parents”.
Well, Mr Thomas has kept a low-profile since Harry and Meghan announced their engagement. Though Prince Harry did reveal that he “sought and received the blessing” of both of Markle’s parents.
When asked about her father, Meghan said that he is the one who inspired my love and passion for TV. She also talked about being biracial in a candid interview. She said:
“My dad was a lighting director for a soap opera and my mother was a temp at that studio. I like to think that he was drawn to her sweet eyes and her mesmerizing beauty, plus their shared love of antiques”.
