The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Harry and Meghan met in 2016 in Toronto, Canada. There, Meghan was filming for her show, Suits. Ahead of their May 2018 wedding, Meghan announced that she would be leaving her acting career behind. It was to start a new chapter of her life in the royal family.

However, royal commentators say that the Palace “covered-up” her most well-known role in a recent announcement.

Podcast “On Heir” is hosted by royal experts, Omid Scobie and Emily Andrews. They delve into the details of the soon-to-be mother’s newly-announced royal patronages. Her patronage of the National Theatre was hotly anticipated. That was because of Meghan’s acting career in past and because she was given Her Majesty’s former patronage.

Mr Scobie said: “It’s actually great to see Meghan reconnecting with that show business past of hers. I personally thought it was quite interesting that the Palace didn’t mention ‘Suits’ in the announcement. They simply said that she had a background in theatre”.

But, that’s part of Meghan’s life that she’s very proud of. I don’t think we should be so quick to cover it up”.

It was only a year and half ago that she was filming those final scenes. The final episode featuring the soon-to-be mother’s character aired in the United States on April 25, 2018. Its less than a month before her May 19 wedding to Prince Harry.
