Kate Middleton and Prince Harry shared a very special bond before the latter dated Meghan Markle.
Prince Harry and Kate were so close that she was often described as Harry’s lynchpin.
The Duke of Sussex used to do everything, share everything with his sister-in-law before he got married in 2018. Prince William’s wife, Kate Middleton, even used to give Harry romantic advice. She also taught him how to cook. And when he started dating Meghan Markle, he introduced his then-girlfriend to Kate Middleton first.
It is a very well known fact that Middleton’s relationship with him was very different from her relationship with Prince William. The Duke of Sussex appealed to her sillier side because he is younger, carefree and footloose. And not to forget that he absolutely loves to banter. He finds things funny about people and says so.

According to Newsweek, he and Middleton hit it off the first time that they were introduced to each other.
Kate Middleton fills the gap
Duchess Catherine, reportedly, filled the gap that Princess Diana left. While Prince Harry was growing up, he didn’t have someone emotionally available that he could lean on. Luckily for him, Middleton was there to help fill the gap.
Prince Harry called Middleton the big sister that he never had after her engagement to Prince William.
He frequently used to visit Prince William and Kate Middleton in their apartment. And whenever he’s around, the future queen consort would usually cook his favourite roast chicken. Even during their public outings Prince Harry and Kate’s mirrored body language suggests that they were enjoying each other’s company.
It was further evident that the in-laws’ smiles were matching during their public engagements. They also have ‘pinging’ smiles. Prince Harry and Middleton bounced off each other’s energies and used to share the same sense of humour.

Following Megxit, Kate Middleton, reportedly, phoned him to check how he’s been doing. The Duchess of Cambridge was concerned after seeing how much weight the Duke of Sussex has lost.
