Kate Middleton is reportedly planning to give a home-made gift to Queen Elizabeth this Christmas. Kate whip a quick ‘marrow chutney’ once. This, apparently, took hours to make. This was what Kate gave her grandmother-in-law during their first holiday together.
Kate on interviewing said:
“The Queen really cares. I can still actually remember being at Sandringham Palace, for the first time, at Christmas celebrations. And I was very worried about what to give the Queen as her Christmas present”.
Well, I was thinking, ‘Gosh, what should I give her’? Then suddenly, I thought back to what I would give my own grandparents? And I thought, ‘I will make her something special’. That could have gone horribly wrong. But then, I decided to make my granny’s recipe of chutney”.
Kate continued: “I was slightly worried about it at first. But, I noticed the next day that it was placed on the table. I think such a simple gesture went such a long way for me. And I’ve noticed this since she’s done that on many occasions. Also, I think it just shows her thoughtfulness, really, and her caring nature in looking after everybody”.

A tip: Meghan Markle should probably keep all this in mind. As her first Christmas with the Queen is right around the corner.
