What do we love about Kate Middleton? Well, the answer is pretty much simple: everything. And now, her favourite things are in line to become the best out of all.
Right now, at the top is the Duchess of Cambridge’s favourite hotel.
The five-star London hotel where Kate Middleton spent the night before her royal wedding in 2011 has been named Britain’s best city hotel by hoteliers.
Run by the Goring family since 1910, The Goring is a favourite of the royal family and was where the Duchess of Cambridge stayed with her entourage on her last night as a single woman in April 2011.
The Goring was named the City Hotel of the Year.
It was named the hotel of the year while sitting third in The Caterer’s 2018 Hoteliers’ Hotels Top 100 list. Voted for by the hotel industry, the winners’ list saw London hotels dominate, with 42 of the top 100 hotels in the capital.

However, the top hotel was named as Oxfordshire’s Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, in Great Milton.
It retained the top spot for the second year in a row. The country house and renowned foodie destination was transformed by Raymond Blanc. It was transformed from a restaurant with rooms to a 32-bedroom hotel with cookery and garden schools.
Chris Gamm, Editor of The Caterer, said: “London has some of the world’s finest hotels. It combines prestige and elegance with cutting-edge design and cuisine”.

“And so, it is no surprise that the UK’s hotelier’s rate the city’s properties so highly. Voted by the experts, the awards reflect the industry-high standards these hotels have achieved through their dedication”.
Kate Middleton, who stayed in the Royal Suite at The Goring, returned to the hotel in 2015 to celebrate its 105th birthday.
