Queen Elizabeth is already rocking in the ‘Ultra Violet’ colour dress. Always the trendsetter, Queen Elizabeth has a jump start on celebrating Pantone’s 2018 Color of the Year.

THE QUEEN welcomed the UK’s new aircraft carrier, HMS Queen Elizabeth.

Despite the grey and dark weather in the UK, she brightened up the occasion in a luminous and elegant purple dress.

The very same day “Ultra Violet” was revealed as the Color of the Year. The Queen was spotted decked out in the purple hue from crown-to-toe. Her Royal Highness was in Portsmouth for the ceremony of HMS Queen Elizabeth, her namesake ship, which is the most powerful vessel ever built for the Royal Navy.

She stood out in a bright purple coat, which featured purple velvet buttons up the front, and purple velvet round the coat collar and sleeve cuffs.

As usual, she wore a matching purple round brim hat which has white and purple flowers resting on the front. She also wore a pair of black gloves and skin-coloured tights to keep herself warm. She was laced with accessories like a black patent handbag and a silver and purple jewel brooch.

Her daughter, Princess Anne, was dressed in Royal Navy uniform

The Queen’s colour choice was very fashion-forward, as ultraviolet was just recently announced as Pantone Colour of the Year 2018.

Mr Williamson, present on the occasion, said the commissioning ceremony “marks the start of a hugely significant chapter for the Royal Navy”.

“It is an honour to witness the crowning moment of an extraordinarily busy year for the Royal Navy that has seen us name the second carrier, HMS Prince of Wales, cut steel on the first Type 26 frigates and launch the National Shipbuilding Strategy.
