International Men’s Day Special: Must-read quotes from the male members of the royal family

International

International Men’s day is celebrated to appreciate men and boys for their contribution to the nation, society, community, marriage, family, and childcare.

On November 19, every year we observe International Men’s Day.

On this day, manhood is celebrated and the power of goodness of men is acknowledged. The objective of this day is to focus on men’s and boys’ health, improving gender relations, and promoting gender equality.

International Men’s Day history

International Men’s Day was inaugurated in 1992 on February 7 by Thomas Oaster. In 1999, the event was revived by Jerome Teelucksing. He chose November 19 to acknowledge his father’s birthday and to celebrate how on that date in 1989 Trinidad and Tobago’s football team had united the country with their efforts to qualify for the World Cup.

The Windsor royal family is, for many, a veritable standard of British haughtiness. However, the male members of the royal family, just like royal ladies, have inspired us from time to time.

Prince Philip holds the title for the longest-serving consort of a reigning British monarch and also the oldest male member of the British royal family.

3. Edward VIII

Perhaps one of the only positive pieces of advice that I was ever given was that supplied by an old courtier who observed: Only two rules really count. Never miss an opportunity to relieve yourself; never miss a chance to sit down and rest your feet.

My guiding principles in life are, to be honest, genuine, thoughtful and caring.

5. Prince Harry

Conversations with my mother, father, my grandparents, as I’ve grown up have obviously driven me towards wanting to try and make a difference as much as possible.
