In 2017, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made their engagement official, the world collectively sighed at their beautiful bond and chemistry.
But, there was a slight twist in this royal couple’s wedding proposal.
Before popping the question to his lady love, Harry had to ask for the approval of another royal, apart from Queen Elizabeth. Wondering who it was?
It was Kate Middleton gave her formal consent for the wedding.
The Duke of Sussex had apparently asked for the advice of his sister-in-law, Kate before proposing to Meghan. According to some reports, it was revealed that Kate Middleton holds a very important position in Harry’s life.
The Duchess of Cambridge has almost helped him fill the place of Princess Diana, and so, he wanted to seek her approval first.
A source told The Royal UK: “Prince Harry and Kate Middleton are very close. She’s been like a mentor to him and he wanted her seal of approval”.
