Kate’s ‘household rule’ is so strict George, Charlotte and Louis can’t break it

royal

The Princess of Wales and Prince William have one firm household rule that their children George, Charlotte and Louis must stick to

With 2024 in full swing, your favourite royal, Prince and Princess of Wales, ware firmly getting back to work after their Christmas break.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, have returned to Lambrook School for the winter term. The royal couple is now balancing their increased royal duties with raising their kids.

They are often spotted doing the school run both in the morning and afternoon. Although they have the assistance of a nanny, the Prince and Princess of Wales are still very hands-on with their children and enjoy engaging in fun activities with them such as bike riding and baking.

However, it’s not all fun and games for the royal children as William and Kate have set some household rules that must be followed at all times. One of the strictest rules is that there should be no shouting in the house. According to an insider source, any hint of shouting at each other by the children is dealt with by removal. The source also revealed that this rule is one that the royal couple is strict on following.

Prince William and Catherine have an unconventional approach to parenting, as they prefer to have a “sofa chat” with their children instead of resorting to punishment. When a child misbehaves, they are taken away from the situation and spoken to calmly by either Kate or William.

The parents then explain the situation and its consequences in detail and avoid shouting at the child. This method is not only effective in disciplining the child but also helps them to understand the situation better. Recently, the Wales family came back to their normal routine after celebrating Kate’s 42nd birthday. Although she loves to celebrate, it was a low-key affair, and according to a royal expert, her special day was spent with her family, without any fancy gifts.

Kate was born in 1982 and grew up in Bucklebury, Berkshire. She attended the prestigious private boarding school Marlborough College, and it was while studying art history at the University of St Andrews in Scotland that she met Prince William in 2001.

And it might have been that she headed back to her childhood village to mark turning 42, according to editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, Ingrid Seward. She told us: “Family life has always been central for the Princess of Wales and she loves an excuse to celebrate. Her 42nd birthday – her second as Princess of Wales – is a good reason to do so, but no details will be released. Traditionally the royals only celebrate milestone birthdays with the public so we might have to wait until Catherine is 45.

Prince William’s latest sacrifice proves his loyalty to Kate is stronger than ever

Kate

In the realm of love and loyalty, Prince William’s latest gesture towards Kate Middleton shines as a beacon of devotion.

Prince William’s relentless commitment to Kate Middleton has once again captured hearts worldwide.

Juggling royal obligations, personal hurdles, and the endless public spotlight, Prince William has shown us yet again his extraordinary strength and unwavering loyalty, especially towards his wife, Kate Middleton.

In the face of recent health challenges hitting close to home, with both his father and wife battling cancer, William’s made a choice to miss a significant event that truly emphasises his dedication — not just as a companion, but as a key figure of the British royal family.

Prince William has reportedly decided to skip the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa, which King Charles still plans on attending.

An insider disclosed to Express, “Attending the CHOGM is not something William can take on at this time due to Kate’s health, and although Anne and other working royals are doing a fantastic job stepping in to plug the gaps at home, they are not viewed as high level enough to represent the sovereign as leader of the Commonwealth.”

While this might appear like a miniature gesture to some, those who comprehend the weight of such events know it’s a big deal. CHOGM isn’t just any meeting; it’s a key moment where leaders from across the Commonwealth come jointly to discuss major global issues and strategies for cooperation. Other royal family members, like Princess Anne and Prince Edward, won’t be heading to the event either, as their roles aren’t considered senior enough.

The shock of Middleton’s cancer diagnosis threw the royal couple into unknown waters. Prince William originally felt “helpless and scared.” Despite these underwhelming emotions, William has stayed dedicated to his wife’s side, assisting with their children and being a constant source of comfort.

The strain of these health battles has also led to an unexpected development within the royal family. Prince William and Queen Camilla have reportedly formed a “tender relationship” amidst the crisis, united in their roles as caregivers to their spouses.

And then again in the build-up to and aftermath of her statement in March that she is undergoing preventive chemotherapy following a cancer diagnosis. An old Kate Middleton’s “I’m in control” remark to William has been featured in a new viral video after a compilation of clips captured throughout the couple’s 13-year marriage has been uploaded by lovers to the social media site TikTok.

Kate has not made any official public appearances so far this year and in the absence of any new images or events, fans have taken to social media to reflect and repost content from past years.

During the visit, William—who not only trained with the British Army, Royal Air Force and Royal Navy but is also a trained Air Ambulance first responder—put his rappelling skills to the test with his wife operating as an anchor, charged with the role as a counterbalance, letting him down a steep incline slowly.

As the prince descended, Kate teased her husband in a moment caught by the news cameras covering the event. “How much do you love me?” she joked, holding his supporting rope. “Are you ok?” she added, to which William responded: “You’re holding me!” “I quite enjoy this actually,” Kate said. “For once I’m in control.”

Also comprised in the viral compilation is an outtake from the couple’s video introduction to their official YouTube channel. “You have to be careful what you say now because these guys, they’re filming everything,” William joked in an off-guarded moment. Captioned “I love when they’re in their silly little moods,” the TikTok video has received over 41,000 likes and over 140 comments, many of which have praised the royal couple.

Prince Harry feels ‘more spare than ever’ after Kate’s cancer diagnosis, says royal expert

Prince Harry

Royal expert Dr Tessa Dunlop suggests Prince Harry’s feelings might be conflicted following Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis.

The gulf between Prince Harry and his family was never more evident than in the wake of Princess Kate’s sad cancer announcement.

Harry, who used to be incredibly close to his sister–in-law, was only informed about her diagnosis a short time before her video was released to the public. There was even a ‘strategy’ put in place regarding the Sussexes and when they should be told.

It’s not long until Harry returns to the UK in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games. And there is speculation he and William could reunite and start to heal their rift – not least because of Kate’s health diagnosis. But, Harry and Meghan are on the back foot, according to royal historian and expert Dr Tessa Dunlop. Highlighting his self-described role as the ‘spare,’ Dr Dunlop speculates Harry may feel even more isolated within the family

Shortly after Kate Middleton’s brave video message about her cancer diagnosis was broadcast, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared a private message of support to the Prince and Princess of Wales, according to a report by the Independent.

Royal author Dr Tessa Dunlop told the Mirror: “Harry is the self-identifying royal ‘spare’. And in the wake of his sister-in-law’s health revelations, I expect he feels more spare than ever,” as quoted by the Independent.

Amid concerns of a growing rift, speculation has arisen about Harry’s potential visit to his brother William when he returns to the UK this May to host an event for the Invictus games, as per the report.

Dr Dunlop expressed compassion for the couple, who left their royal duties for a life in California in 2020. She added, “No, they don’t have cancer, and yes, they have been publicly critical of the British Royal Family. But in our own families, how many of us hold back our feelings on the off-chance a sibling or sister-in-law might get sick?” as quoted by the Independent.

Despite the public scrutiny and potential conspiracy theories, Harry’s conflicted emotions seem to stem from his desire to support his sister-in-law while grappling with his self-proclaimed status as the “spare” heir. As the family navigates this challenging period, all eyes are on the dynamics between the brothers and their respective support systems, the report further added.

Princess Catherine’s recent cancer diagnosis has brought attention to a concerning trend – an increasing number of younger adults being affected by the disease. Despite being only 42 years old and otherwise healthy, the Princess of Wales’s diagnosis highlights that cancer is no longer a condition primarily associated with older individuals.
