Why Prince Harry and Meghan Markle want a ‘banana wedding cake’?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going all bananas on their big wedding. They are said to want a wedding cake made from bananas.

This is the reason why it has a little bit of a romantic twist.

According to some reports, Prince Harry is in love with bananas. This fruit has also played a cheeky and important role in their relationship.

Few hours after their royal romance was confirmed in the month of October last year, the American actress posted an unusual image of two cuddling bananas on her official Instagram account. With this unique and romantic picture, Meghan added the caption, “Sleep tight xx”.

That unexpected post was gossiped about by the royal watchers.

The media and the public came into a frenzy over the new couple’s secret budding relationship. Now, just one and a half year later, they’re planning to celebrate their wedding with a banana cake. This would be a first on a ‘royal wedding’.

Traditionally, the top tier of British wedding cake is a fruitcake. why?

That is because it lasts long enough to be served at the christening of the royal couple’s firstborn. But they’re not the first royal couple to go their own way when it comes to their wedding day menu.

Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding cake was made of chocolate biscuits. He and Kate also served a traditional eight-tiered royal cake served at their reception at Buckingham Palace.

The Kensington Palace spokesman said.

“The soon-to-be bride and groom are ‘extremely grateful and pleased following the warm public response to their engagement announcement. Windsor is very much of a special place for Prince Harry.
