British royals are in the public eye 24/7. The royal members are not only kept an eye upon during the public engagements but also while they are in their homes.
And, when it comes to the fab four, that is Prince William along with his wife, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry along with his wife, Meghan Markle, they are always the centre of the attraction.
And so, both William and Harry are quite protective of their wives. Ever since their mother, Princess Diana, was killed during a car chase with paparazzi in Paris, her sons have been incredibly wary of the media. Well, that is kind of obvious, at least for them.
Hence, their protectiveness is quite genuine.
They want to shield the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan from the constant barrage of the press. Times have changed too. And the British media largely leave both the royal brides, Kate and Meghan alone when they are off-duty.

Miss Middleton should, like any other private individual, be able to go about her everyday business without this kind of intrusion. The situation is proving unbearable for all those concerned”.
Did his statement make any changes?
Well, no. The media frequently stalked Kate’s London home. They were eager for a photo of her on her way to work. At the time, she was employed at a women’s clothing store where she worked as an accessories buyer.
