Well, the wedding cake prepared by Claire Ptak is all ready. Soon, wedding ceremonies will also be over and we will be looking at the newly wed couple.
And, we just got our first peek at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding cake.

Earlier, it was discovered that the couple has selected Claire Ptak, a pastry chef who was raised in California to bake their wedding cake. At their Windsor Castle reception, the couple will serve a lemon elderflower cake.
About the wedding cake.
The cake will incorporate the bright flavours of spring. It will be covered with butter-cream and decorated with fresh flowers. Though, this isn’t the first royal wedding cake preview fans have received so far.
According to the Kensington Palace:-
“Ptak focuses on using seasonal and organic ingredients in her cakes. It was also revealed that Meghan Markle had previously interviewed Chef Ptak on The Tig.
She wrote on her blog: “Pastry Chef, Claire Ptak has hit the nail on the head with her London bakery serving up delightful treats that have garnered a cult following in the UK and beyond”.
A little known fact about the British wedding cakes.
Unlike American wedding cakes, the top-tier of the British wedding cakes is traditionally what we think of as a Christmas-style fruit cake. Must be wondering why?
Well, there are some traditions of the royal family which are related to the wedding cake. It is a fruit style cake so it will last long enough to be served at the couple’s first child’s christening. the lemon elderflower cake is something of a departure from the norm, but perhaps not so out-of-the-box as the previously rumoured banana cake.
