This documentary, in particular, will include some behind-the-scenes moments. And, it will also include the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as well.
The Queen will be the focus of a new two-part documentary.
The ITV film entitled Queen of the World will focus on Her Majesty’s role on a global stage. Also the responsibilities she will hand down to the younger royal family members as they continue to build the Commonwealth connection.
What else can the royal fans expect?
Filmed for over a year by Oxford Films, the production has privileged access to Queen Elizabeth, her family and staff. And will draw on cine footage from the Queen and Prince Philip’s private film archives.
Celebrating the importance of the Commonwealth to the Queen, the series will also touch on Meghan’s wedding veil, which was embroidered with a signature flower from every commonwealth country.
ITV’s Controller of Factual Jo Clinton-Davis announced:-
“Her Majesty is a unique figure on the world stage, with a huge depth of experience having met more global leaders than any previous British monarch. And she has served longer than all of them”.
“This documentary is a rare opportunity to see her up close and behind the scenes in this role. This also means so much to her has been so significant for Britain and the Commonwealth”.
Who among the royal family members will contribute?
The film will feature behind-the-scenes moments with the Sovereign and other members of the Royal family. It will include Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
A publicist confirmed that more details about their contributions will be released soon.
When will this documentary be aired?
The release date has yet to be confirmed as the series is still in production. However, ITV recently aired The Queen’s Green Planet. It’s a documentary about the monarch’s legacy to protect the environment.
The film explored the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy. It’s about how it is creating a network of forest conservation initiatives across all 53 Commonwealth countries.
