Christmas is only a week away, and the royal family is gearing up to head north to the Sandringham house estate in the English countryside.
As with many royal parties and events, the family has to narrow down who they actually want should be there.
Or else, they’d have a castle full of sort-of friends and distant cousins. Unfortunately for the in-laws, it usually means they don’t get to spend Christmas with their royal kids.
Earlier this year, it was rumoured that Meghan’s mother, Doria was invited to join the family.
Doria was supposedly invited because the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan has no other family in England. And, she almost definitely won’t invite her gossipy dad or sister.

However, it seems like spending Christmas as a family won’t happen for the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan and Doria. As Doria Ragland reportedly isn’t going.
Now, even though it sounds really dramatic, it’s reportedly unlikely that an invite was ever extended to Doria Ragland in the first place.
According to royal correspondent, Victoria Murphy, Doria was never confirmed to join the family.

Murphy told The Royal UK: “My understanding is that she’s not going. I don’t think that’s because they weren’t able to or anything like that”.
“I just think it’s not usual for in-laws to go there. It’s very well known that this thing was suggested and that she was going to go there, but that was never confirmed by the Palace officials”.
There’s no word on if Meghan’s mother will spend Christmas at home in California or stay in London. But, one thing is for sure, if and when Doria confirms to spend Christmas with her daughter, it will be a wonderful thing to watch.
