The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate and her daughter, Charlotte stunned lunchtime patrons of a South London pub when they popped in to use the toilet.
They rushed into ‘The Phoenix’ in Stockwell after Charlotte just couldn’t hold on any longer.
Royal protection officers searched the pub before Kate Middleton led her three-year-old daughter in by hand. Pub local, Maggie McKinney has been visiting The Phoenix for 26 years.
She said she had never seen anything like it in all that time.
She told reports: “I was sitting in my usual chair and when I looked up I saw Kate Middleton. I mean the Duchess of Cambridge, and her daughter, Princess Charlotte”.
“The little kid just trotted in with her mother, went to the toilet and then trotted out”.
The 76-year-old said the pub is friendly and staff were more than happy to let them both use their very own throne. Mrs McKinney said:-

“The mother-daughter pair seem very nice and totally normal. The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate was holding her daughter, Princess Charlotte’s hand and she was just any other little girl”.
Another local, who asked not to be named, joked and said: “It just goes to show that the royals are like any other family. When your kid needs to go to the loo, they got to go”.
Well, by all these statements, it’s proved that the locals were totally delighted to have witnessed such an unexpected event occurring in front of their eyes.
