Camilla just opened up about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding while she was visiting 5 News in London. She confirmed what everyone already suspected.

The royal family was sweating it out, big time.

Camilla appeared to reference events surrounding Thomas Markle’s non-appearance and said: “It was such a lovely day. Everything went just right. We all were wondering about whatever will be happening next and then everything went right. The only thing is that we are all losing our voices now”.

Her response seemed to reference the apparent drama that went down before the big day.

The bride father, Thomas famously first admitted to staging paparazzi photographs of himself before announcing he would not longer walk his daughter down the aisle due to his health.

And then unexpected turn of events inspired a worldwide fervour. It appears that behind the scenes the royals felt very unsure of the situation too. The Duchess of Sussex ultimately asked Prince Charles to help her out.

And, we have to admit, the future king did the duty graciously. He didn’t only escort the bride to the front of St. George’s Chapel. But, viewers also noticed his welcoming of Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

Overall, the day went off without a hitch as millions of people around the world celebrated the wedding.

Camilla Parker said: “It’s nice to have something that is uplifting rather than depressing. Everything was just perfect, including the weather, which couldn’t have been better. It was indeed a beautiful day”.

While she offered up her thoughts on the wedding, Camilla actually visited there to discuss domestic violence. This particular issue has remained a central part of her work for years.

She said: “I thought it was high time that we started talking about it. For some of the women involved, it is very, very saddening. It is a subject that has been under wraps for too long”.

Her commitment to helping and promoting women definitely corresponds with the aims of her new daughter-in-law.

The Duchess of Sussex’s official bio on the royal family website specifically states that she’s a proud feminist. And, she has made a lifelong commitment to causes such as social justice and women’s empowerment.

Well, it’s no surprise that they’ve already exhibited their close bond. Both of them, Camilla Parker Bowles and Meghan Markle appear to have a lot in common.
