As an eight-year-old kid, Meghan Markle would have never thought that she’ll become a member of the British royal family.
On 19th May 2018, Meghan Markle married Prince Harry and became an integral part of the family.
Meghan and Harry’s wedding seemed inevitable since openly proclaimed about their relationship (Harry’s unprecedented determination to issue a statement via Kensington Palace defending Meghan made it clear that the couple was very serious). But, it seems like Meghan’s destiny as a royal might have been fated since, as far back as, 1990.
In a video deciphered by the Daily Mail, Meghan Markle can be seen playfully acting out her future as royalty. The video in question was shot at her friend Ninaki Priddy’s ninth birthday bash. In it, Meghan Markle (who was only eight years old at the time), played a queen in a backyard play called Your Royal Highness.

“The program was called Your Royal Highness and the obvious star was Meg,” Ninaki revealed. She also said. “It’s very entertaining to see this now. Given what is going on with her life it’s quite eye-opening. Meghan was always the centre of attention, perpetually the leader—it was my anniversary but she did the starring role!”

The video appears to foreshadow two very important things about Meghan’s life. Firstly, her career as an actress and secondly her role as a royal. Meghan took the charge, guiding the miniature show (which seems to have been improvised). Sincerely, she played the queen and cast her friends as subjects. How’s that for a natural-born leader?
It’s significant to note, of course, that Meghan Markle will not be a queen in real life. After Meghan married Prince Harry, Queen Elizabeth gave them the title of Duke and Duchess of Sussex, as just like she did with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

With the birth of Prince William and Duchess Kate’s third child, Harry will be sixth in line for the throne. This makes it highly unlikely that Meghan will ever officially be a queen—but we always have this video.
